🍽️ Savory Strudel with Chard

Ingredients
- 250 g flour
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 pinch sugar
- 3 tbsp oil
- 50 g melted butter
- 3 tbsp milk
- 1 kg chard
- 2 onions
- 1 clove garlic
- 2 tbsp oil
- 3 eggs
- 250 g mozzarella
- 150 g Emmental
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 175 ml chicken broth (from the jar)
- salt (pepper)
Instructions
- 1. Put flour, one egg yolk, salt, sugar, 3 tablespoons of oil, and 100 milliliters of lukewarm water into a bowl.
- 2. Knead the ingredients into a smooth dough.
- 3. Shape the dough into a ball.
- 4. Wrap the dough ball in plastic wrap.
- 5. Let the dough rest for 30 minutes.
- 6. Wash the chard thoroughly.
- 7. Remove the tough ends of the stems.
- 8. Cut the chard stems into thin strips.
- 9. Roughly chop the green chard leaves.
- 10. Peel the onions and the garlic clove.
- 11. Finely chop the onions and garlic.
- 12. Heat some oil in a pan.
- 13. Sauté the onions and garlic until translucent.
- 14. Add the chard stems to the pan.
- 15. Cook the stems for 5 minutes.
- 16. Add the chard leaves to the pan.
- 17. Cook the leaves for another 3 minutes.
- 18. Season the filling to taste with salt and pepper.
- 19. Serve the finished strudel warm.
