  1. 1. Wash the mango thoroughly and pat it dry.
  2. 2. Peel off the skin using a vegetable peeler.
  3. 3. Slice the flesh off the pit in thick pieces.
  4. 4. Dice the fruit into small cubes.
  5. 5. Place the mango cubes into a bowl.
  6. 6. Wash the fresh herbs and shake off excess water.
  7. 7. Cut the chives into fine rings.
  8. 8. Pluck the basil leaves off the stems.
  9. 9. Set aside a few nice basil leaves for garnish.
  10. 10. Cut the remaining basil into fine strips.
  11. 11. Squeeze the lemon to extract the juice.
  12. 12. Add the lemon juice to the mango cubes.
  13. 13. Add the chopped chives.
  14. 14. Add the basil strips.
  15. 15. Season the mixture with black pepper.
  16. 16. Let the salad marinate for ten minutes.
  17. 17. Plate the salad.
  18. 18. Pat the feta cheese dry with kitchen paper.
  19. 19. Crumble the cheese over the salad with your fingers.
  20. 20. Garnish the salad with the reserved basil leaves.
