  4. 4. Heat oil in a frying pan.
  5. 5. Fry the potato slices in the hot oil until golden yellow.
  6. 6. Place the fried potatoes on kitchen paper to drain the oil.
  7. 7. Lightly salt the potato chips.
  8. 8. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
  9. 9. Whisk the eggs with the cream until blended.
  10. 10. Season the egg mixture with salt, pepper, and curry.
  11. 11. Pour the egg mixture into small ovenproof jars.
  12. 12. Place the jars in a larger baking pan.
  13. 13. Fill the baking pan with boiling water until it reaches about two finger widths up the sides of the jars.
  14. 14. Place the pan in the oven.
  15. 15. Bake the flans for about 30 minutes.
