Ingredients
- 250 g small oranges (2 small oranges)
- 120 g ripe fig (2 ripe figs)
- 2 sprigs lemon thyme
- 10 g Manchego (1 piece)
- pepper (from the mill)
Instructions
- 1. Peel the oranges completely. Make sure to remove the white pith layer underneath the skin.
- 2. Place a bowl underneath. Carefully cut out the fruit flesh segments from between the membranes using a sharp small knife.
- 3. Wash the figs thoroughly. Remove the stems. Cut the figs into wedges.
- 4. Place the fig wedges into a second bowl. Gently mix them with the orange pieces.
- 5. Wash the lemon thyme. Shake it dry so that no water droplets remain on the leaves.
- 6. Pluck the leaves off the stems. Finely chop the leaves.
- 7. Stir the chopped thyme leaves into the fruit. Let the salad marinate for 5 minutes.
- 8. In the meantime, take the Manchego cheese. Use a vegetable peeler to shave off paper-thin strips.
- 9. Grind fresh pepper directly from the mill over the fig salad.
- 10. Arrange the cheese strips on top of the salad. Plate the salad and serve immediately.
