🍽️ Savory Waffles with Quark Dip and Apple Sauce

Ingredients
- 150 g Butter
- 4 Eggs
- 1 Pinch Salt
- 250 g Flour
- 250 ml Milk
- 1 tsp Garden Herbs
- Salt
- Pepper (from the mill)
- Nutmeg
- Oil (for the waffle iron)
- 250 g Low-fat Quark
- 100 g Whipping Cream
- 1 Clove Garlic
- Salt
- Pepper (from the mill)
- 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
- 3 tbsp Parsley (Dill finely chopped)
- 6 Apples
- 6 tbsp Water
- 1 Pinch Cinnamon
Instructions
- 1. Beat the butter together with the eggs and a pinch of salt until creamy.
- 2. Add the flour gradually and stir it in.
- 3. Stir the milk and herbs into the batter.
- 4. Let the batter rest for about 30 minutes.
- 5. Finally season the batter with salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
- 6. Whip the cream until very stiff.
- 7. Fold the whipped cream into the quark.
- 8. Peel the garlic clove and press it into the quark mixture.
- 9. Stir in the lemon juice, salt, pepper, and herbs.
- 10. Taste the dip and adjust the seasoning.
- 11. Peel the apples and remove the core.
- 12. Cut the apples into small pieces.
- 13. Stew the apple pieces until soft with a little water.
- 14. Add cinnamon and puree the mixture until smooth.
- 15. Preheat the waffle iron to medium heat.
- 16. Brush the waffle iron thinly with oil.
- 17. Bake the waffles one by one until golden yellow.
- 18. Serve the waffles together with the herb quark and the apple sauce.
