Ingredients
- 1 clove garlic (finely chopped)
- 2 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice wine
- 2 mandarins
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 5 tbsp rock sugar
Instructions
- 1. Peel the two mandarins.
- 2. Remove all white pith and seeds.
- 3. Mash the fruit flesh into a pulp.
- 4. Mix the pulp with five tablespoons of crushed white rock sugar.
- 5. Warm the mixture slightly until the sugar has completely dissolved.
- 6. Combine the sweet mandarin pulp with all remaining ingredients.
- 7. Pour the mixture into a small frying pan.
- 8. Bring the sauce to a brief boil.
