🍽️ Spicy Pepper Strips

Ingredients
- 600 g bell peppers
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 tsp coriander
- 2 tsp cumin
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp harissa
- 5 stalks coriander leaves
- salt
Instructions
- 1. Wash the bell peppers thoroughly.
- 2. Remove the seeds and white pith from the peppers.
- 3. Cut the empty peppers into thin strips.
- 4. Bring a pot of water to a boil.
- 5. Add the pepper strips in batches to the boiling water.
- 6. Cook the peppers for three minutes.
- 7. Remove the pepper strips from the water using a ladle.
- 8. Let the peppers drain well.
- 9. Peel the garlic cloves.
- 10. Press the garlic through a garlic press.
- 11. Place coriander seeds and cumin seeds in a mortar.
- 12. Crush the spices into a powder using the pestle.
- 13. Heat some olive oil in a pan.
- 14. Sauté the pressed garlic in the hot oil.
- 15. Add the blanched pepper strips to the pan.
- 16. Add the ground coriander and cumin mixture.
- 17. Add harissa paste to the pan.
- 18. Fry the mixture for four to five minutes, turning frequently.
- 19. Finely chop the fresh coriander leaves.
- 20. Stir the chopped coriander leaves into the peppers.
- 21. Season the pepper strips with salt to taste.
- 22. Serve the pepper strips lukewarm.
