  1. 1. Pour the vinegar and honey into a small saucepan.
  2. 2. Heat the mixture slowly and stir occasionally.
  3. 3. Continue cooking until the honey has completely dissolved.
  4. 4. Remove the pan from the heat and let the liquid cool down.
  5. 5. Gently wash the strawberries in a bowl of water.
  6. 6. Place the berries on kitchen paper and let them drain.
  7. 7. Pat the strawberries dry with the paper.
  8. 8. Remove the green stems from the berries.
  9. 9. Cut the strawberries in half or quarters depending on their size.
  10. 10. Place the cut berries into a bowl.
  11. 11. Wash the basilicum leaves under running water.
  12. 12. Shake the basilicum dry to remove excess water.
  13. 13. Pluck the individual leaves from the stems.
  14. 14. Cut the leaves into very fine strips.
  15. 15. Gently fold the basilicum strips into the strawberries.
  16. 16. Shave the Parmesan cheese into thin slices.
  17. 17. Distribute the strawberries onto plates.
  18. 18. Place ham and Parmesan shavings on the berries.
  19. 19. Drizzle the cooled balsamic syrup over the dish.
  20. 20. Season everything freshly with black pepper.
  21. 21. Serve the dish immediately.
