  6. 6. Crumble the white bread into the warm milk.
  7. 7. Remove the pot from the heat and let the mixture steep for another 15 minutes.
  8. 8. Stir in the butter, crème fraîche, horseradish, salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
  9. 9. Blend the sauce until smooth.
  10. 10. Season the sauce to taste with salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
  11. 11. Pour the sauce into a pre-warmed gravy boat.
  12. 12. Sprinkle a little ground nutmeg over the finished sauce.
