  2. 2. Knead the ingredients into a soft shortcrust dough.
  3. 3. Wrap the dough tightly in cling film.
  4. 4. Place the dough in the refrigerator for 1 hour to firm up.
  5. 5. Wash the plums thoroughly under running water.
  6. 6. Pat the plums dry with a kitchen towel.
  7. 7. Cut the plums in half.
  8. 8. Remove the pits from the plum halves.
  9. 9. Slice the plum halves into small wedges.
  10. 10. Divide the dough into two equal parts.
  11. 11. Shape each part into a round disc.
  12. 12. Grease a tart pan with butter.
  13. 13. Place one of the dough discs into the pan.
  14. 14. Prick the base of the dough several times with a fork.
  15. 15. Arrange the plum wedges evenly on the dough.
  16. 16. Sprinkle the plums with sugar.
  17. 17. Add 2 teaspoons of cinnamon over the plums.
  18. 18. Cover the cake with the second dough disc.
  19. 19. Press the edges of the two dough discs firmly together.
  20. 20. Trim the excess dough from the top edge.
  21. 21. Sprinkle the surface of the cake with sugar.
  22. 22. Preheat the oven to 200°C.
  23. 23. Bake the cake at 200°C for 30 minutes until golden brown.
