🍽️ Peaches in Citrus Syrup

Ingredients
- 8 Peaches
- 1 Orange
- 0.5 Lemon
- 175 g Sugar
- 500 ml White wine
- 1 Vanilla pod
- 10 Mint
Instructions
- 1. Wash the peaches thoroughly and remove the pits.
- 2. Slice the orange and the lemon into thin rounds.
- 3. Place the prepared peaches into a large pot.
- 4. Add the sugar and the wine to the pot.
- 5. Slice the vanilla pod lengthwise.
- 6. Scrape out the pulp (seeds) from the pod.
- 7. Add both the pod and the pulp to the fruit.
- 8. Place the citrus slices on top of the peaches.
- 9. Cover the pot and bring the mixture to a boil.
- 10. Reduce the heat to very low.
- 11. Let the peaches simmer gently for about 20 minutes.
- 12. Remove the pot from the heat.
- 13. Let the peaches cool down in the liquid.
- 14. Serve the peaches with the citrus slices and some of the liquid.
- 15. Garnish the dish with fresh mint.
