🍽️ Chinese-style Scallion Pancakes

Ingredients
- 250 g flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 bunch scallions
- 2 tbsp white sesame seeds
- vegetable oil (for frying)
Instructions
- 1. Mix the flour with the salt.
- 2. Stir the mixture with a wooden spoon into 140 ml of hot water.
- 3. Knead the dough into a smooth ball.
- 4. Wrap the dough ball in cling film.
- 5. Store the dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- 6. Wash the spring onions and remove the ends.
- 7. Slice the spring onions into fine rings.
- 8. Divide the dough into four equal portions.
- 9. Dust a work surface with flour.
- 10. Roll out each dough portion thinly.
- 11. Brush the dough surfaces with sesame oil.
- 12. Sprinkle sesame seeds and some of the spring onions on top.
- 13. Roll the dough into a coil.
- 14. Shape the coil into a snail shape.
- 15. Flatten the snail shape.
- 16. Roll out the flat dough plate to a thickness of 0.5 cm.
- 17. Ensure the pancake is about 26 cm in diameter.
- 18. Heat oil in a pan to a depth of 1 cm.
- 19. Fry the pancakes one by one until golden brown.
- 20. Turn the pancakes once while frying.
- 21. Let the finished pancakes drain on kitchen paper.
- 22. Cut the pancakes into wedges.
- 23. Serve the pancakes immediately.
