🍽️ Christmas Petit Fours

Ingredients
- 5 Eggs
- 125 g Sugar
- 1 Pinch Salt
- 125 g Flour
- 30 ml Amaretto
- 600 g white chocolate coating
- 300 g milk chocolate coating
- Sugar decorations (as desired)
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius with fan setting.
- 2. Separate the eggs.
- 3. Beat the egg yolks with half of the sugar until creamy.
- 4. Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff.
- 5. Gradually stir in the remaining sugar into the egg whites.
- 6. Gently fold the egg whites into the yolk mixture.
- 7. Sift the flour over the mixture.
- 8. Mix everything together carefully.
- 9. Spread the dough onto a baking tray lined with baking paper.
- 10. Bake the dough in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes.
- 11. Remove the baked base from the oven.
- 12. Prick the baked base several times with a fork.
- 13. Mix the Amaretto with 4 tablespoons of water.
- 14. Brush the cake with the Amaretto-water mixture.
- 15. Cut the cake into squares with side lengths of 2.5 to 3 centimeters.
- 16. Roughly chop the two types of chocolate.
- 17. Melt the chocolates separately over a hot, but not boiling, water bath.
- 18. Dip the biscuit cubes into the white chocolate.
- 19. Decorate the cubes with sugar decorations.
- 20. Let the decorated petit fours dry.
- 21. Dip the base of the petit fours into the dark chocolate.
