  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius with fan setting.
  2. 2. Separate the eggs.
  3. 3. Beat the egg yolks with half of the sugar until creamy.
  4. 4. Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff.
  5. 5. Gradually stir in the remaining sugar into the egg whites.
  6. 6. Gently fold the egg whites into the yolk mixture.
  7. 7. Sift the flour over the mixture.
  8. 8. Mix everything together carefully.
  9. 9. Spread the dough onto a baking tray lined with baking paper.
  10. 10. Bake the dough in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes.
  11. 11. Remove the baked base from the oven.
  12. 12. Prick the baked base several times with a fork.
  13. 13. Mix the Amaretto with 4 tablespoons of water.
  14. 14. Brush the cake with the Amaretto-water mixture.
  15. 15. Cut the cake into squares with side lengths of 2.5 to 3 centimeters.
  16. 16. Roughly chop the two types of chocolate.
  17. 17. Melt the chocolates separately over a hot, but not boiling, water bath.
  18. 18. Dip the biscuit cubes into the white chocolate.
  19. 19. Decorate the cubes with sugar decorations.
  20. 20. Let the decorated petit fours dry.
  21. 21. Dip the base of the petit fours into the dark chocolate.
