  1. 1. Beat the soft butter with brown sugar, vanilla sugar, and the egg until creamy.
  2. 2. Mix spelt flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder in a separate bowl.
  3. 3. Add the flour mixture, pecans, and chocolate chips to the butter mixture.
  4. 4. Knead everything together into a uniform dough.
  5. 5. Line a baking sheet with baking paper.
  6. 6. Place small mounds of dough onto the paper using two teaspoons.
  7. 7. Preheat the oven to 180 °C (convection: 160 °C, gas: setting 2–3).
  8. 8. Bake the cookies in the oven for approx. 15 minutes.
  9. 9. Remove the cookies from the oven.
  10. 10. Let them cool completely on a wire rack.
