  3. 3. Add lemon juice, salt, pepper, and sugar to the remaining mayonnaise.

  5. 5. Slice the gherkins into thin rounds.
  6. 6. Slice the beetroot into thin rounds as well.
  7. 7. Take four slices of toast bread.
  8. 8. Spread the spicy horseradish mayonnaise thickly onto these four slices.
  9. 9. Take the remaining toast slices.

  13. 13. Place the pastrami on top of the beetroot.
