🍽️ Crunchy Pastrami Sandwich with Spicy Mayo

Ingredients
- 4 tbsp salad mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp freshly grated horseradish (or from a jar)
- lemon juice
- 1 pinch sugar
- salt
- pepper from the mill
- 4 cornichons
- 1 large beetroot (cooked)
- 8 slices toast bread
- 200 g pastrami (thinly sliced)
Instructions
- 1. Mix salad mayonnaise with horseradish in a small bowl.
- 2. Take out a small spoonful of the mixture and set it aside.
- 3. Add lemon juice, salt, pepper, and sugar to the remaining mayonnaise.
- 4. Stir everything well until the spices are incorporated.
- 5. Slice the gherkins into thin rounds.
- 6. Slice the beetroot into thin rounds as well.
- 7. Take four slices of toast bread.
- 8. Spread the spicy horseradish mayonnaise thickly onto these four slices.
- 9. Take the remaining toast slices.
- 10. Spread the mayonnaise thinly onto these slices.
- 11. Place the gherkins on the thickly spread bread slices.
- 12. Place the beetroot slices on top.
- 13. Place the pastrami on top of the beetroot.
- 14. Sprinkle the reserved grated horseradish over the filling.
- 15. Cover the filled slices with the thinly spread toast slices.
