  3. 3. Pat the parsnips dry with a kitchen towel.
  4. 4. Grate the parsnips into thin, even slices.
  5. 5. Pat the slices dry again to ensure they become crispy.
  6. 6. Heat oil in a pan or pot.
  7. 7. Check the oil temperature by holding the end of a wooden spoon into the oil.
  8. 8. The oil is ready when small bubbles start to rise around the spoon handle.
  9. 9. Fry the parsnip slices in the hot oil for about 1 minute.
  10. 10. Remove the slices from the oil using a slotted spoon.
  11. 11. Let the oil in the pan heat up properly again.
  12. 12. Fry the parsnip slices again for about 3 minutes.
  13. 13. Remove the golden-brown slices with the slotted spoon.
  14. 14. Place the slices on a kitchen towel to absorb excess oil.
  15. 15. Season the chips with salt to taste.
  16. 16. Serve the crispy parsnip chips immediately.
