  1. 1. Mix flour, salt, butter, and egg yolk in a bowl.
  2. 2. Add 2 to 3 tablespoons of cold water.
  3. 3. Knead the ingredients quickly into a smooth dough.
  4. 4. Wrap the dough in cling film.
  5. 5. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
  6. 6. Cut the bread rolls into small cubes.
  7. 7. Soak the bread cubes in the milk.
  8. 8. Peel the onions and garlic.
  9. 9. Finely chop the onions and garlic.
  10. 10. Sauté the vegetables in hot butter.
  11. 11. Squeeze the soaked bread cubes well.
  12. 12. Mix the minced meat, bread, cream, sherry, lemon zest, marjoram, and eggs in a bowl.
  13. 13. Fold in the sautéed onions and garlic.
  14. 14. Knead in enough breadcrumbs until the mixture is moldable.
  15. 15. Season the filling with salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  16. 16. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius with top and bottom heat.
  17. 17. Grease the baking dish with butter.
  18. 18. Divide the dough into three parts.
  19. 19. Roll out two-thirds of the dough.
  20. 20. Place the dough base into the dish.
  21. 21. Roll the remaining dough part into a strip.
  22. 22. Place the dough strip around the base as a border.
  23. 23. Press the border firmly against the edges of the dish.
  24. 24. Trim off the excess dough.
  25. 25. Cut stars or flowers out of the dough remainder.
  26. 26. Fill the pie with the meat mixture.
  27. 27. Smooth the filling.
  28. 28. Place the remaining dough as a lid on top.
  29. 29. Press the lid edge well.
  30. 30. Prick the lid several times with a fork.
  31. 31. Brush the surface with egg yolk.
  32. 32. Place the cut-out stars or flowers on top.
  33. 33. Brush the decorations with egg yolk as well.
  34. 34. Serve the pie with the cranberry-horseradish sauce.
