🍝 Crispy Pasta Bake with Meatballs and Cheese

Ingredients
- 400 g tube pasta (e.g. Garganelli or Penne)
- salt
- 1 clove of garlic
- 500 g ground beef
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- pepper (from the mill)
- 200 g cherry tomatoes
- 1 zucchini
- 100 ml meat broth
- 1 tbsp freshly chopped basil
- 200 g mozzarella
- chopped basil (for garnishing)
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Set the heating mode to top and bottom heat.
- 2. Cook the pasta in salted water until al dente (firm to the bite). Rinse the pasta briefly with cold water and let it drain.
- 3. Peel the garlic and chop it finely.
- 4. Mix the minced meat, chopped garlic, and oregano in a bowl.
- 5. Season the meat mixture with salt and pepper.
- 6. Form small balls from the meat mixture.
- 7. Wash the tomatoes and cut them in half.
- 8. Wash the zucchini, trim the ends, and slice it.
- 9. Mix the drained pasta, halved tomatoes, zucchini slices, meat broth, and fresh basil in a large bowl.
- 10. Season the pasta mixture again with salt and pepper to taste.
- 11. Transfer the pasta mixture into an ovenproof dish.
- 12. Distribute the meatballs evenly over the pasta mixture.
- 13. Slice the mozzarella and place the slices on top of the bake.
- 14. Bake the dish in the oven for about 25 minutes until the top is golden and bubbly.
- 15. Garnish the finished bake with fresh basil and serve hot.
