🍝 Homemade Tomato Sauce with Pasta

Ingredients
- 400 g Penne
- 1 kg Tomatoes
- 2 Garlic cloves
- 3 Onions
- 50 ml Olive oil
- 0.5 Bunch Parsley
- 1 tsp Oregano
- 2 Bay leaves
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- Salt (Pepper)
- 50 g Parmesan (block)
Instructions
- 1. Peel the onions and garlic.
- 2. Finely chop the onions and garlic.
- 3. Heat the olive oil in a pan.
- 4. Sauté the onion and garlic mixture in the oil.
- 5. Wash the tomatoes thoroughly.
- 6. Cut the tomatoes into quarters.
- 7. Add the tomato pieces to the pan.
- 8. Sprinkle oregano over the sauce.
- 9. Add bay leaves to the pan.
- 10. Simmer the sauce over low heat for 1 hour.
- 11. Add a little water if the sauce becomes too thick.
- 12. Press the sauce through a sieve (food mill).
- 13. Bring the smooth sauce to a boil again.
- 14. Season the sauce with salt.
- 15. Season the sauce with pepper.
- 16. Season the sauce with sugar.
- 17. Cook the pasta according to package instructions.
- 18. Drain the pasta.
- 19. Divide the pasta among the plates.
- 20. Pour the tomato sauce over the pasta.
- 21. Pick the parsley leaves off the stems.
- 22. Shave the Parmesan cheese.
- 23. Sprinkle parsley and Parmesan over the dish.
