  1. 1. Cook the pasta in plenty of salted water according to the package instructions.
  2. 2. Peel the onion and cut it into very small cubes.
  3. 3. Peel the garlic clove and chop it finely.
  4. 4. Heat the oil in a pot.
  5. 5. Sauté the onion cubes and the chopped garlic in it.
  6. 6. Stir in the tomato paste and let it cook briefly.
  7. 7. Add the tomatoes along with their liquid to the pot.
  8. 8. Add a little water if necessary.
  9. 9. Season the sauce with salt and pepper.
  10. 10. Add the peas.
  11. 11. Let the sauce simmer on low heat for 5 to 10 minutes.
