🍝 Pasta with tuna and tomato sauce

Ingredients
- 400 g bow-tie pasta
- salt
- 1 onion
- 1 clove of garlic
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 can peeled tomatoes
- pepper
- 300 g frozen peas
- 350 g tuna in its own juice
- 200 g cherry tomatoes
- 1 handful basil
Instructions
- 1. Cook the pasta in plenty of salted water according to the package instructions.
- 2. Peel the onion and cut it into very small cubes.
- 3. Peel the garlic clove and chop it finely.
- 4. Heat the oil in a pot.
- 5. Sauté the onion cubes and the chopped garlic in it.
- 6. Stir in the tomato paste and let it cook briefly.
- 7. Add the tomatoes along with their liquid to the pot.
- 8. Add a little water if necessary.
- 9. Season the sauce with salt and pepper.
- 10. Add the peas.
- 11. Let the sauce simmer on low heat for 5 to 10 minutes.
- 12. Drain the tuna.
- 13. Shred the tuna into small pieces.
- 14. Add the tuna to the sauce.
- 15. Warm the tuna in the sauce for 2 minutes over medium heat.
- 16. Drain the pasta.
- 17. Mix the pasta with the sauce.
- 18. Wash the basil.
- 19. Shake the basil dry.
- 20. Fold the basil into the pasta.
- 21. Divide the pasta among small plates.
- 22. Serve the dish immediately.
