  1. 1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. 2. Add the tagliatelle to the boiling water.
  3. 3. Cook the pasta for the time specified on the package until al dente.
  4. 4. Peel the bottom third of the asparagus spears.
  5. 5. Cut the peeled asparagus diagonally into small pieces.
  6. 6. Heat some oil in a large pan.
  7. 7. Sauté the asparagus pieces in the hot oil for a short time.
  8. 8. Add the pine nuts to the pan and toast them briefly.
  9. 9. Deglaze the pan with some broth.
  10. 10. Simmer the asparagus covered for about 6 to 8 minutes until tender.
  11. 11. Drain the cooked pasta and let it drain slightly.
  12. 12. Toss the drained pasta into the pan with the asparagus.
  13. 13. Add the mozzarella to the pan.
  14. 14. Season the dish with salt and pepper to taste.
