Ingredients
- 500 g Spaghetti
- Salt
- 2 Shallots
- 1 Garlic clove
- 1 red Chili pepper
- 400 g Tuna (in its own juice)
- 3 tbsp Olive oil
- Pepper (from the mill)
- 1 handful Arugula (cleaned, washed and spun dry)
Instructions
- 1. Boil plenty of water in a large pot and add plenty of salt. Cook the spaghetti in it until al dente (still has a bite). Follow the instructions on the package.
- 2. Peel the shallots and the garlic. Chop both ingredients very finely.
- 3. Wash the chili pepper. Remove the seeds. Cut the chili into small pieces.
- 4. Open the can of tuna. Drain the liquid. Let the tuna drain well.
- 5. Pull the tuna into bite-sized pieces with your fingers.
- 6. Heat olive oil in a large frying pan.
- 7. Add the chopped shallots and garlic to the hot pan. Sauté them briefly until fragrant.
- 8. Add the torn tuna pieces and the chili pieces to the pan.
- 9. Fry everything briefly together until it is warm.
- 10. Season the sauce with salt and black pepper to taste.
- 11. Drain the cooked pasta. But do not remove them completely from the pot. Let them swim briefly in the hot cooking water (submerge and shake) so they do not stick.
- 12. Take four plates. Warm them briefly beforehand in the oven or with hot water.
- 13. Place the pasta on the warm plates.
- 14. Pour the spicy tuna sauce over the pasta.
- 15. Sprinkle the dish fresh with arugula (arugula is a leaf salad variety with a slightly nutty taste).
- 16. Serve the pasta immediately while it is still hot.
