  1. 1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil and add some salt.
  2. 2. Cook the pasta in this salted water until it is al dente (firm to the bite).
  3. 3. Peel the onion and cut it into very fine strips.
  4. 4. Thoroughly wash the arugula.
  5. 5. Remove any damaged or wilted leaves from the arugula.
  6. 6. Dry the arugula, for example in a salad spinner.
  7. 7. Cut the smoked salmon into thin strips.
  8. 8. Peel the garlic cloves and chop them finely.
  9. 9. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a large pan.
  10. 10. Add the fine onion strips and the chopped garlic to the hot pan.
  11. 11. Sauté the vegetables over medium heat until they are soft and translucent.
  12. 12. Drain the cooked pasta and let it drain well.
  13. 13. Add the drained pasta and the smoked salmon strips to the pan.
  14. 14. Mix everything gently so that the salmon does not break apart.
  15. 15. Season the mixture with salt to taste.
  16. 16. Add freshly ground pepper.
  17. 17. Add some lemon juice and stir.
  18. 18. Divide the pasta and salmon mixture onto plates.
  19. 19. Place the dry arugula on top.
  20. 20. Garnish the dish with fresh dill tips.
  21. 21. Serve the pasta immediately while warm.
