  1. 1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. 2. Add the linguine to the boiling water and cook until al dente (firm to the bite).
  3. 3. Cut the smoked salmon into thin strips.
  4. 4. Peel the onion and the garlic.
  5. 5. Dice the onion and garlic very finely.
  6. 6. Heat oil in a large pan.
  7. 7. Add the diced onion and garlic to the hot pan.
  8. 8. Sauté the vegetables until translucent (soft and see-through).
  9. 9. Add the thawed peas to the pan.
  10. 10. Deglaze the mixture with the stock (broth).
  11. 11. Add the cream.
  12. 12. Let the sauce simmer slightly until it thickens.
  13. 13. Drain the cooked pasta.
  14. 14. Add the drained pasta to the sauce in the pan.
  15. 15. Fold in the salmon strips.
  16. 16. Add lemon juice.
  17. 17. Add vermouth (aromatic fortified wine).
  18. 18. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  19. 19. Serve the dish immediately.
