🍝 Pasta with Peas and Green Beans

Ingredients
- 250 g green beans
- 250 g peas (frozen)
- 50 g grated Parmesan
- 1 tbsp finely chopped mixed herbs (basil, parsley, mint)
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1 clove garlic
- 400 g penne
- salt
- pepper
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the green beans under cold water.
- 2. Trim the ends of the beans and remove any stringy fibers.
- 3. Bring a large pot of water to a boil and add some salt.
- 4. Add the prepared beans to the boiling water.
- 5. Cook the beans until they are al dente (firm to the bite).
- 6. Drain the beans and immediately rinse them with cold water to stop the cooking process.
- 7. Let the beans drain well.
- 8. Cut the beans into pieces about 3 to 4 centimeters long.
- 9. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- 10. Cook the pasta in this water until it is al dente.
- 11. Peel the garlic cloves.
- 12. Finely chop the garlic.
- 13. Heat oil in a large frying pan.
- 14. Add the chopped garlic to the hot pan.
- 15. Sauté the garlic briefly until fragrant.
- 16. Add the peas to the pan.
- 17. Sauté the peas briefly.
- 18. Add the prepared green beans to the pan.
- 19. Sauté the beans briefly as well.
- 20. Drain the pasta, but reserve some of the cooking water.
- 21. Add the drained pasta directly to the pan with the vegetables.
- 22. Mix everything well together.
- 23. Add the fresh herbs as desired.
- 24. Grate the Parmesan over the pasta.
- 25. Season the dish with salt and pepper to taste.
- 26. Serve the pasta immediately while warm.
