🍽️ Golden-brown Peppers with Cream Cheese Filling

Ingredients
- 8 Pimento (mild peppers)
- 100 ml olive oil
- sea salt
- 1 garlic clove
- 400 g cream cheese
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- pepper (from the mill)
- 1 tbsp chive rings
Instructions
- 1. Thoroughly wash the peppers under running water.
- 2. Carefully cut off the top part of each pepper to create a lid.
- 3. Remove the inside of the peppers, including the seeds and white membranes.
- 4. Heat a large pan over high heat and add some oil.
- 5. Place the empty peppers with their lids into the hot pan.
- 6. Fry the peppers for about 10 minutes until they are golden brown.
- 7. Pour some oil over the peppers repeatedly while frying.
- 8. Remove the fried peppers from the pan.
- 9. Place them on kitchen paper to let the excess fat drain off.
- 10. Season the peppers lightly with sea salt.
- 11. Peel the garlic clove and press the garlic into a small bowl.
- 12. Stir the cream cheese into the garlic.
- 13. Add some lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
- 14. Mix the filling well until it is creamy.
- 15. Fill the peppers with the cheese mixture.
- 16. Place the previously cut-off lids back onto the peppers.
- 17. Sprinkle the finished peppers with fresh chives.
- 18. Serve the peppers immediately while warm.
