🍳 Homemade Pepper Jam

Ingredients
- 2.5 kg bell peppers (red and yellow)
- 1 lemon (juice)
- 1 vanilla pod
- 2 kg jam sugar
Instructions
- 1. Wash the peppers thoroughly.
- 2. Halve the peppers and remove the insides.
- 3. Peel off the skin using a vegetable peeler.
- 4. Cut the flesh into small pieces.
- 5. Place the pepper pieces into a pot.
- 6. Pour in the lemon juice.
- 7. Slit the vanilla pod lengthwise and add it to the pot.
- 8. Add the sugar.
- 9. Stir everything well.
- 10. Let the mixture steep for at least 2 hours.
- 11. Bring the mixture to a boil while stirring.
- 12. Let it bubble and cook for about 5 minutes.
- 13. Remove the vanilla pod from the pot.
- 14. Puree the pepper finely using a hand blender.
- 15. Bring the mixture to a boil one more time briefly.
- 16. Fill the hot jam into prepared jars.
- 17. Seal the jars immediately.
- 18. Let the jars cool down.
