  1. 1. Peel the onion and cut it into very small cubes.
  2. 2. Cut the pepper in half lengthwise.
  3. 3. Remove the seeds from the pepper.
  4. 4. Rinse the pepper halves under running water.
  5. 5. Cut the pepper into thin strips.
  6. 6. Peel the garlic.
  7. 7. Finely chop the garlic.
  8. 8. Pour hot water over the tomatoes.
  9. 9. Peel the skin off the tomatoes (this is called blanching).
  10. 10. Halve the peeled tomatoes.
  11. 11. Remove the seeds from the tomato halves.
  12. 12. Dice the tomatoes finely.
  13. 13. Peel the cucumber.
  14. 14. Cut the cucumber in half lengthwise.
  15. 15. Remove the soft core of the cucumber.
  16. 16. Cut the cucumber into small pieces.
  17. 17. Whisk vinegar, oil, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
  18. 18. Pour the dressing over the rest of the salad.
  19. 19. Mix all ingredients well together.
  20. 20. Fill the salad into small bowls.
  21. 21. Serve the salad.
