  2. 2. Remove the inside of the peppers, including the seeds and the white pith.
  3. 3. Rinse the empty bell peppers thoroughly.
  4. 4. Dice the onion into small cubes.
  5. 5. Heat some butter in a frying pan.
  6. 6. Fry the onion cubes in the hot butter until they are translucent.
  7. 7. Press the garlic directly into the pan.
  8. 8. Add the minced meat to the pan.
  9. 9. Fry the meat until it is crumbly and fully cooked.
  10. 10. Season the meat mixture with salt and pepper.
  11. 11. Let the meat filling cool down completely.
  12. 12. Mix the cooled minced meat with an egg.
  13. 13. Add the rice to the meat and egg mixture.
  14. 14. Fill the bell peppers with the meat mixture.
  15. 15. Wash the tomatoes.
  16. 16. Chop the tomatoes roughly.
  17. 17. Put the tomatoes in a pot.
  18. 18. Pour 1/8 liter of water over the tomatoes.
  19. 19. Bring the tomato mixture to a boil.
  20. 20. Season the sauce with salt and pepper.
  21. 21. Let the sauce simmer gently for about 30 minutes.
  22. 22. Strain the cooked tomato mixture through a sieve to get a smooth sauce.
