🍽️ Paprika-Broccoli Quiche

Ingredients
- 200 g whole wheat flour
- 50 g butter
- 300 g quark
- 1 onion
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 red bell pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 125 g feta cheese
- 2 eggs
- 125 ml milk
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 50 g almonds
- 500 g broccoli
- salt
- pepper
- 3 tbsp breadcrumbs
- 12 black olives (pitted)
Instructions
- 1. Mix the flour with the roughly chopped butter until a crumbly mixture forms.
- 2. Add 200 grams of quark (a fresh dairy product similar to thick yogurt) and half a teaspoon of salt.
- 3. Knead everything into a smooth dough.
- 4. Shape the dough into a ball.
- 5. Store the dough in a cool place for 30 minutes.
- 6. Peel the onion and the garlic.
- 7. Finely chop the onion and the garlic.
- 8. Remove the inside of the bell pepper.
- 9. Cut the bell pepper into small cubes.
- 10. Heat oil in a frying pan.
- 11. Sauté the onion, garlic, and pepper cubes in the hot oil.
- 12. Grate the sheep's cheese roughly.
- 13. Mix the grated cheese with the remaining quark.
- 14. Add the eggs to the cheese and quark mixture.
- 15. Add the milk to the mixture.
- 16. Season the mixture with oregano.
- 17. Rinse the almonds.
- 18. Roughly chop the almonds.
- 19. Remove the tough stems from the broccoli.
- 20. Divide the broccoli into small florets.
- 21. Bring salted water to a boil.
- 22. Cook the broccoli florets briefly in the boiling water until they are firm to the bite (this is called blanching).
- 23. Drain the broccoli.
- 24. Immediately shock the broccoli with ice-cold water to stop the cooking process.
- 25. Let the broccoli drain well.
- 26. Roll out the dough slightly larger than your baking pan.
- 27. Grease the baking pan.
- 28. Place the dough into the greased pan.
- 29. Press the dough against the bottom and sides of the pan.
- 30. Spread breadcrumbs over the dough base.
- 31. Season the broccoli with salt and pepper.
- 32. Place the seasoned broccoli into the pan.
- 33. Sprinkle the chopped almonds over the broccoli.
- 34. Mix the cheese mixture with the sautéed onion and pepper mixture.
- 35. Add olives to the cheese mixture.
- 36. Mix everything well.
- 37. Spread the cheese mixture evenly over the broccoli.
- 38. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius (180 degrees Celsius with fan or gas mark 3).
- 39. Place the pan on the lowest rack in the oven.
- 40. Bake the quiche for about 30 minutes.
