  1. 1. Peel the papaya and cut it in half.
  2. 2. Scrape out the hard seeds from the flesh and discard them.
  3. 3. Coarsely grate the papaya flesh.
  4. 4. Wash the cherry tomatoes and cut them into small pieces.
  5. 5. Peel the garlic clove and chop it finely.
  6. 6. Wash the chili peppers and chop them finely, including the seeds.
  7. 7. Place the chili and garlic in a mortar and crush them finely.
  8. 8. Add half of the peanuts and crush them coarsely.
  9. 9. Stir in the fish sauce, lime juice, and sugar into the paste.
  10. 10. Add the grated papaya and the tomatoes.
  11. 11. Lightly mash everything together to blend the flavors.
  12. 12. Divide the salad onto four plates.
  13. 13. Coarsely chop the remaining roasted peanuts.
  14. 14. Sprinkle the peanuts over the salad.
