🍰 Papaya Shells with Lemon Sorbet and Ginger Aroma

Ingredients
- 15 g Ginger (1 piece)
- 1 tbsp Maple syrup
- 2 Cloves
- 50 g Red currants
- 400 g Ripe papaya (1 ripe papaya)
- 80 g Lemon sorbet (ready-made product)
Instructions
- 1. Peel the ginger and cut it into small cubes.
- 2. Place the ginger cubes, maple syrup, cloves, and 5 tablespoons of water in a small saucepan.
- 3. Bring the mixture to a boil with the lid on over medium heat.
- 4. Let the syrup simmer for 2 minutes.
- 5. Remove the pan from the heat and let the syrup cool down completely.
- 6. Wash the currants and gently pat them dry.
- 7. Use a fork to strip the berries from the stems.
- 8. Pour the cooled ginger syrup through a fine sieve into a cup.
- 9. Cut the papaya in half lengthwise.
- 10. Carefully remove the seeds with a tablespoon.
- 11. Cut a small piece off the rounded bottom of each papaya half.
- 12. Place the papaya halves so that they stand upright and stable.
- 13. Brush the inside of the papaya halves lightly with some ginger syrup.
- 14. Let the lemon sorbet thaw slightly so it can be shaped.
- 15. Scoop balls of sorbet using an ice cream scoop.
- 16. Place one sorbet ball into each papaya half.
- 17. Drizzle the remaining ginger syrup over the shells.
- 18. Sprinkle the prepared currants over the top.
- 19. Serve the dessert immediately.
