  2. 2. Remove the seeds from the flesh.
  3. 3. Peel the papaya and cut the flesh into small cubes.
  4. 4. Place the papaya cubes, orange juice, lemon juice, honey, and lemon balm leaves into the blender.
  5. 5. Blend the ingredients on high speed until smooth.
  6. 6. Fill two large long drink glasses halfway with ice cubes.
  7. 7. Stir the vanilla paste (the seeds from a vanilla pod) thoroughly into the buttermilk.
  8. 8. Pour the buttermilk-vanilla mixture over the ice in the glasses.
  9. 9. Stir the fruity mixture from the blender into the buttermilk mixture in the glasses.
  10. 10. Garnish each shake with a few fresh lemon balm leaves.
