🍽️ Crispy Breaded Mozzarella Slices

Ingredients
- 250 g Mozzarella (2 balls)
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp flour
- 4 tbsp breadcrumbs
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tomato
- 2 sprigs basil
Instructions
- 1. Loosely beat the egg in a shallow bowl with a fork.
- 2. Spread the flour on a separate plate.
- 3. Place the breadcrumbs on a third plate.
- 4. Carefully dry the mozzarella with kitchen paper.
- 5. Cut the mozzarella into thick slices.
- 6. Coat each mozzarella slice first in the flour.
- 7. Then dip the floured slices into the beaten egg.
- 8. Finally press the egg-coated slices firmly into the breadcrumbs so they stick well.
- 9. Heat the oil in a heavy pan.
- 10. Fry the breaded mozzarella slices until golden brown over medium heat.
- 11. Wash the tomatoes thoroughly under running water.
- 12. Slice the washed tomatoes.
- 13. Place the fried mozzarella slices on pre-warmed plates.
- 14. Garnish the dish with fresh basil leaves.
- 15. Serve the breaded mozzarella slices immediately with the tomato slices.
