🍽️ Crispy Breaded Green Tomatoes

Ingredients
- 300 g green tomatoes
- 2 tbsp flour
- 2 eggs
- Heinz Hot Ketchup
- 70 g breadcrumbs
- 50 g cornstarch
- 1 pinch sugar
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 2 tbsp butter (for frying)
Instructions
- 1. Wash the green tomatoes thoroughly.
- 2. Remove the hard stem area from the top.
- 3. Cut the tomatoes crosswise into thick slices.
- 4. The slices should be about as wide as your finger.
- 5. Lightly dust each individual slice with flour.
- 6. Put the eggs into a shallow plate.
- 7. Add one tablespoon of Heinz Ketchup.
- 8. Whisk the mixture well with a fork.
- 9. Take a second plate for the breading.
- 10. Mix the breadcrumbs with the cornmeal.
- 11. Stir the sugar into the breadcrumb mixture.
