  1. 1. Heat a pan without oil over medium heat.
  2. 2. Add the almonds and nuts to the hot pan.
  3. 3. Stir the nuts constantly until they are lightly golden brown and fragrant.
  4. 4. Remove the pan from the heat and let the nuts cool down completely.
  5. 5. Roughly chop the cooled nuts with a knife.
  6. 6. Cut the figs and candied fruits into small cubes.
  7. 7. Place the cut fruits into a large bowl.
  8. 8. Add the roughly chopped nuts to the bowl with the fruits.
  9. 9. Add the spices and mix everything well together.
  10. 10. Place powdered sugar and honey into a metal bowl.
  11. 11. Place the metal bowl over a pot with gently simmering water (bain-marie).
  12. 12. Stir the mixture constantly over low heat until the sugar melts.
  13. 13. Stop stirring when the mixture forms threads.
  14. 14. Remove the bowl from the water bath and let the mixture cool down slightly.
  15. 15. Pour the honey-sugar mixture over the nut and fruit mixture.
  16. 16. Mix everything thoroughly until everything is well coated.
  17. 17. Add 1 to 2 tablespoons of flour.
  18. 18. Stir in the flour until it is evenly distributed.
  19. 19. Take a shallow baking pan (square or round).
  20. 20. Grease the pan thinly with butter.
  21. 21. Line the bottom of the pan with parchment paper or wafer sheets.
  22. 22. Pour the dough mixture into the prepared pan.
  23. 23. Smooth the surface with a spoon or spatula.
  24. 24. Preheat the oven to 150 degrees Celsius.
  25. 25. Place the pan in the preheated oven.
  26. 26. Bake the cake for about 30 minutes.
  27. 27. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool down completely.
  28. 28. Lightly dust the finished surface with powdered sugar.
  29. 29. Dust with a little cinnamon for garnish.
