🍽️ Heavenly Panettone with Lemon Glaze

Ingredients
- 1 packet dried yeast
- 500 g flour (Type 550)
- 200 ml lukewarm milk
- 50 g melted butter
- 80 g raisins
- 1 pinch salt
- 100 g powdered sugar
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions
- 1. Preheat your oven to 50 degrees Celsius. You will use this as a warm place for the dough later.
- 2. Grease a flower pot (used as a baking mold) generously with butter.
- 3. Place a small piece of aluminum foil over the opening of the flower pot so the dough does not fall into the hole.
- 4. Put the flour and the dry yeast into a large mixing bowl.
- 5. Add the liquid butter and the salt to the bowl.
- 6. Pour the lukewarm milk in.
- 7. Process everything with the dough hooks of your electric mixer until you have an elastic dough.
- 8. Cover the bowl and place it in a warm spot (for example, in the preheated but turned-off oven set to 50 degrees).
- 9. Let the dough rise for about 30 minutes.
- 10. Preheat the baking oven to 180 degrees.
- 11. Sprinkle some flour onto your work surface.
- 12. Take the dough out and knead it thoroughly on the surface.
- 13. Work the raisins evenly into the dough while kneading.
- 14. Put the finished dough into the prepared flower pot.
- 15. Bake the Panettone in the preheated oven (180 degrees) for about 1 hour.
- 16. Take the cake out of the oven and let it cool down for a short while.
- 17. Carefully turn the Panettone out of the mold.
- 18. Whisk powdered sugar with lemon juice in a small bowl until you have a thick, smooth glaze.
- 19. Pour the lemon glaze over the cooled cake.
