🍽️ Orientalic Turkey Chili

Ingredients
- 1 onion
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 red chili pepper
- 2 tbsp oil
- 400 g ground turkey
- salt
- 240 g chickpeas (drained weight; can)
- 150 ml poultry broth
- 400 g diced tomatoes (can)
- 1 bunch cilantro
- 1 pinch cumin
Instructions
- 1. Peel the onion and the garlic.
- 2. Dice the onion finely.
- 3. Dice the garlic finely.
- 4. Wash the chili pepper.
- 5. Cut the chili pepper in half lengthwise.
- 6. Remove the seeds from the chili pepper.
- 7. Rinse the chili pepper again if necessary.
- 8. Cut the chili pepper into thin rings.
- 9. Heat the oil in a pot.
- 10. Add the minced meat to the pot.
- 11. Fry the meat over high heat.
- 12. Stir the meat occasionally.
- 13. Fry the meat for three minutes.
- 14. Add the onion to the meat.
- 15. Add the garlic to the meat.
- 16. Add the chili rings to the meat.
- 17. Fry the ingredients for two minutes.
- 18. Season the mixture with salt.
- 19. Rinse the chickpeas in a sieve.
- 20. Let the chickpeas drain.
- 21. Add the broth to the meat.
- 22. Add the tomatoes to the meat.
- 23. Add the chickpeas to the meat.
- 24. Stir everything well.
- 25. Simmer the chili over medium heat.
- 26. Cover the pot.
- 27. Simmer the chili for five minutes.
- 28. Wash the coriander in the meantime.
- 29. Shake the coriander dry.
- 30. Pluck the coriander leaves off.
- 31. Chop the coriander leaves coarsely.
- 32. Stir the coriander into the chili.
- 33. Season the chili with salt.
- 34. Season the chili with cumin.
- 35. Serve the chili in deep plates.
- 36. Serve the chili with flatbread and low-fat yogurt.
