🥤 Warm Oriental Spiced Punch

Ingredients
- 0.5 l black tea
- 0.375 l apple juice
- 1 cm fresh ginger
- 2 star anise
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 6 cloves
- 2 allspice berries
- 100 g brown sugar
- 0.125 l dark rum
Instructions
- 1. Pour black tea and apple juice into a pot.
- 2. Peel the ginger.
- 3. Add the whole ginger, the remaining spices, and the sugar to the pot.
- 4. Bring the mixture to a brief boil.
- 5. Simmer the punch for about 15 minutes over low heat.
- 6. Stir the rum into the liquid.
- 7. Heat the mixture briefly again.
- 8. Pour the hot punch into glasses.
- 9. Remove the spices if desired, or add more sugar to taste.
