🍽️ Fruity Orange Sorbet

Ingredients
- 150 g Sugar
- 150 ml Water
- 0.5 unsprayed Orange (peel)
- 500 ml freshly squeezed orange juice
- Juice of one Lemon
- 40 ml Grand Marnier
- 1 Egg white
Instructions
- 1. Put sugar, water, and the orange peel into a pot.
- 2. Bring the mixture to a brief boil.
- 3. Let the liquid cool down.
- 4. Strain the liquid through a sieve into a bowl to remove the peel.
- 5. Stir the orange juice into the cooled sugar syrup mixture.
- 6. Add the lemon juice.
- 7. Add the Grand Marnier (orange liqueur).
- 8. Whisk the egg whites until they are semi-stiff.
- 9. Gently fold the whipped egg whites into the orange mixture using a whisk.
- 10. Place the bowl in the freezer compartment of your refrigerator for 3 to 4 hours.
- 11. Stir the mixture vigorously with a whisk every 20 minutes.
- 12. Serve the finished sorbet garnished with fresh orange zest and small orange pieces.
