🍽️ Homemade Orange Marmalade

Ingredients
- 1.2 kg Oranges (incl. juice)
- 2 Oranges (zest)
- 600 g Jam sugar (2:1)
- 40 ml Orange liqueur
- juice of 1 Lemon
Instructions
- 1. Wash the oranges thoroughly.
- 2. Peel the oranges with a sharp knife, removing only the orange-colored zest.
- 3. Cut the orange flesh into fine cubes.
- 4. Remove all seeds from the fruit flesh.
- 5. Catch the orange juice in a bowl.
- 6. Mix the cubed fruit mass with the caught juice, the orange zest, the orange liqueur, and the lemon juice.
- 7. Weigh the entire fruit mixture.
- 8. Add half of the weighed amount of pectin sugar to the fruit mixture.
- 9. Stir the sugar in well.
- 10. Cover the bowl and let the mixture steep overnight.
- 11. Place the fruit mixture in a pot the next day.
- 12. Bring the mixture to a boil on the stove.
- 13. Let the marmalade boil vigorously for about 4 minutes.
- 14. Fill the hot marmalade into clean jars.
- 15. Seal the jars tightly.
- 16. Place the jars upside down for a few minutes.
- 17. Let the jars cool down completely.
- 18. Slice whole grain bread.
- 19. Spread butter on the bread.
- 20. Serve the marmalade alongside.
