🍽️ Homemade Orange-Lemon Marmalade

Ingredients
- 650 g oranges (organic, unwaxed)
- 1 lemon (unwaxed, organic)
- 500 g jam sugar
- 230 g sugar
- 75 ml whisky
Instructions
- 1. Thoroughly wash the oranges and the lemon under running water.
- 2. Peel the oranges and remove all of the white pith.
- 3. Cut the orange flesh into small pieces and catch the juice that escapes.
- 4. Do the same with the lemon: peel it, remove the white pith, and cut the flesh into small pieces, catching the juice as well.
- 5. Remove as much of the white inner side as possible from the orange peels and the lemon peel.
- 6. Cut the cleaned peels into thin, fine strips.
- 7. Place the orange and lemon pieces, the collected juice, and the strips into a pot.
- 8. Mix the ingredients with the white sugar and the brown sugar.
- 9. Bring the mixture to a boil while stirring.
- 10. Let the marmalade simmer covered on medium heat for 5 to 8 minutes.
- 11. Stir frequently during cooking to prevent burning.
- 12. At the end of the cooking time, add the whiskey and stir it in.
- 13. Fill the hot marmalade into clean jars.
- 14. Seal the jars tightly.
- 15. Let the marmalade cool down completely in the jars.
