  4. 4. Cut the strips into small pieces about 1 to 2 centimeters long.
  5. 5. Halve the oranges.
  6. 6. Squeeze the juice out of the oranges.
  7. 7. Mix the orange juice with the prepared zest.
  8. 8. Measure the total amount and ensure you have exactly 1250 milliliters.
  9. 9. Peel the ginger.
  10. 10. Grate the ginger finely.
  11. 11. Add the grated ginger to the orange mixture.
  12. 12. Add the sugar.
  13. 13. Stir everything well until the sugar has dissolved.
  14. 14. Bring the mixture to a boil while stirring constantly.
  15. 15. Let the jam boil vigorously for 4 minutes.
  16. 16. Fill the hot jam to the brim into prepared, clean jars.
  17. 17. Seal the jars tightly.
  18. 18. Let the jars cool down at room temperature.
