  1. 1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add some salt to the water. Cook the pasta in it until it is al dente (firm to the bite).
  2. 2. Take two oranges. Cut off the peel with a sharp knife. Remove all white pith from the fruit. Cut the oranges in half lengthwise. Cut the halves into half-moon slices.
  3. 3. Season the orange slices generously with pepper. Add some olive oil. Mix everything well together.
  4. 4. Squeeze the third orange. Pour the juice over the marinated orange slices.
  5. 5. Take a fine grater. Grate very fine strips from the peel of the third orange. These strips are called citrus zest.
  6. 6. Drain the cooking water from the pasta. Let the pasta drain for a short moment. Mix the pasta with the orange slices and the oil.
  7. 7. Divide the pasta onto plates. Sprinkle the orange zest over the top. Serve the dish immediately.
