🍽️ Vibrant Marmalade with Orange and Pomegranate

Ingredients
- 4 pomegranates
- 2 oranges
- 500 g jam sugar (2:1)
- 125 ml orange juice
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions
- 1. Cut three pomegranates in half horizontally.
- 2. Remove the seeds from the three halved fruits.
- 3. Press the removed seeds through a fine sieve to extract the juice.
- 4. Catch the extracted juice in a bowl.
- 5. Remove the seeds from the fourth remaining pomegranate.
- 6. Peel the oranges completely using a sharp knife.
- 7. Remove the white bitter pith underneath the peel as well.
- 8. Carefully cut out the orange fillets along the separating membranes.
- 9. Catch the juice released by the fillets.
- 10. Squeeze the remaining orange peels to get more juice.
- 11. Cut the removed orange fillets into small pieces.
- 12. Mix the pomegranate juice, pomegranate seeds, orange fillets, and lemon juice in a pot.
- 13. Add the squeezed orange juice until you have a total of 1 liter of liquid.
- 14. Stir the jam sugar into the mixture.
- 15. Bring the mixture to a boil on the stove.
- 16. Let the marmalade boil vigorously for 4 minutes.
- 17. Stir constantly while boiling to prevent burning.
- 18. Fill the hot marmalade immediately into previously rinsed hot jars.
- 19. Seal the jars tightly with the lids.
- 20. Place the sealed jars upside down on their lids for 15 minutes.
- 21. Turn the jars back over afterwards.
- 22. Let the marmalade cool down completely in the jars.
