🍽️ Oven-baked salmon on golden potato rings

Ingredients
- 8 medium-sized potatoes (cooked)
- 1 bunch young spring onions
- 2 tbsp neutral oil
- salt
- pepper (from the mill)
- 4 salmon fillets
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp paprika powder (mild sweet)
- 1 tsp pepper (ground)
- 0.5 tsp curry powder
- 2 tbsp neutral oil
Instructions
- 1. Slice the potatoes into very thin rounds.
- 2. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a frying pan.
- 3. Fry the potato slices slowly over low heat until golden yellow.
- 4. Season the potatoes with salt and pepper.
- 5. Slice the spring onions into thin rings.
- 6. Set aside 3 pieces of the spring onions for decoration.
- 7. Place the seasoned potatoes and the remaining spring onions into a baking dish.
- 8. Rinse the salmon fillets under running water.
- 9. Pat the fillets dry with a kitchen towel.
- 10. Place the salmon fillets on top of the potato layer.
- 11. Mix honey, paprika powder, pepper, curry, and oil into a paste.
- 12. Coat the salmon fillets evenly with this spice paste.
- 13. Preheat the oven to 160 degrees Celsius with fan setting.
- 14. Place the baking dish on the middle rack.
- 15. Bake the salmon for about 15 minutes.
- 16. Check if the salmon is cooked through and the crust is brown.
- 17. Garnish the finished dish with the 3 reserved spring onions.
- 18. Serve the salmon hot immediately.
