  2. 2. Cut the fish fillets in half crosswise so you have two smaller pieces per fillet.
  3. 3. Season the fish pieces lightly with salt and pepper.
  4. 4. Clean the mushrooms and cut them into quarters.
  5. 5. Peel the garlic cloves and slice them thinly.
  6. 6. Cut the bacon into small cubes.
  7. 7. Melt the herb butter in an oven-safe pan and let it foam slightly.
  8. 8. Add the mushrooms, garlic, and bacon to the hot butter.
  9. 9. Sauté the ingredients briefly over high heat.
  10. 10. Place the seasoned fish fillets in the pan with the mixture.
  11. 11. Place the pan in the preheated oven.
  12. 12. Gratin the fish for 8 to 10 minutes until it is cooked through.
  13. 13. Remove the pan from the oven.
  14. 14. Divide the fish fillets onto two plates.
  15. 15. Pour the mushroom-bacon butter from the pan over the fillets.
