🍰 Colorful Fruit Skewers with Chocolate Coating

Ingredients
- 1.5 kg mixed fruit (e.g. banana, strawberries, grapes, pear, pineapple, apple)
- 150 g dark chocolate coating
- 45 g chopped almond kernels (3 tbsp)
Instructions
- 1. Peel the bananas.
- 2. Thoroughly wash the berries and grapes.
- 3. Let the washed berries and grapes drain.
- 4. Peel the pears and apples.
- 5. Cut the peeled pears and apples into quarters.
- 6. Core the apple and pear quarters.
- 7. Peel the pineapple.
- 8. Cut out the tough core from the pineapple.
- 9. Cut the fruits into bite-sized pieces or keep them whole, depending on their size.
- 10. Roughly chop the chocolate coating.
- 11. Place the chopped chocolate coating into a bowl.
- 12. Fill a pot with a few centimeters of water.
- 13. Heat the water in the pot.
- 14. Ensure the pot diameter is slightly smaller than the diameter of the metal bowl.
- 15. Hang the bowl with the chocolate coating into the pot over the hot water.
- 16. Melt the chocolate coating while stirring constantly over low heat.
- 17. Place the almonds in a non-stick frying pan.
- 18. Roast the almonds until golden brown without adding any fat.
- 19. Remove the roasted almonds from the pan.
- 20. Place the almonds on a plate.
- 21. Let the almonds cool down.
- 22. Thread the fruits alternately onto 16 wooden skewers.
- 23. Place the fruit skewers side by side on a large piece of baking paper.
- 24. Use a piece of baking paper measuring approximately 50 by 40 centimeters.
- 25. Drizzle the liquid chocolate coating in thin streams over the fruit skewers.
- 26. Rotate the skewers continuously while doing so.
- 27. Sprinkle the cooled almonds all around the fruit skewers.
- 28. Allow the chocolate coating on the skewers to dry.
