  1. 1. Place the chili pepper, star anise, cinnamon stick, a pinch of pepper, vanilla sugar, apple juice, and lemon juice into a pot.
  2. 2. Heat the mixture on the stove, but do not let it boil.
  3. 3. Thoroughly wash the nectarine and the plums.
  4. 4. Halve the fruits and remove the pits.
  5. 5. Cut the fruit halves into thin wedges.
  6. 6. Wash the berries and sort them so that only intact fruits remain.
  7. 7. Let the berries drain well.
  8. 8. Wash the grapes.
  9. 9. Peel the grapes if you wish.
  10. 10. Place all prepared fruits into a large bowl.
  11. 11. Gently mix the fruits.
  12. 12. Pour the warm spice broth over the fruits.
  13. 13. Let the fruit steep in the liquid for about 15 minutes.
  14. 14. Fill the fruit into jars as desired and serve.
