  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 150 degrees Celsius with fan setting.
  2. 2. Whip the egg whites in a bowl until they form very stiff peaks.
  3. 3. Slowly stir the sugar into the egg whites.
  4. 4. Add the lemon juice and whip the mixture until stiff again.
  5. 5. Gently fold the nuts into the egg mixture using a spoon.
  6. 6. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
  7. 7. Place small mounds of the mixture onto the tray using a tablespoon.
  8. 8. Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes until golden brown.
  9. 9. Remove the tray from the oven and take the cookies off the tray.
  10. 10. Let the cookies cool down completely.
  11. 11. Melt the chocolate in a pot or in the microwave.
  12. 12. Coat the cooled cookies with the melted chocolate.
  13. 13. Press half a hazelnut onto each cookie.
  14. 14. Allow the chocolate to set at room temperature.
