🍰 Crunchy Nut & Chocolate Cookies

Ingredients
- 4 egg whites
- 200 g brown sugar
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 150 g hazelnuts (ground)
- 100 g almond kernels (ground)
- 40 half hazelnut kernels (for decorating)
- 250 g chocolate glaze
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 150 degrees Celsius with fan setting.
- 2. Whip the egg whites in a bowl until they form very stiff peaks.
- 3. Slowly stir the sugar into the egg whites.
- 4. Add the lemon juice and whip the mixture until stiff again.
- 5. Gently fold the nuts into the egg mixture using a spoon.
- 6. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
- 7. Place small mounds of the mixture onto the tray using a tablespoon.
- 8. Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes until golden brown.
- 9. Remove the tray from the oven and take the cookies off the tray.
- 10. Let the cookies cool down completely.
- 11. Melt the chocolate in a pot or in the microwave.
- 12. Coat the cooled cookies with the melted chocolate.
- 13. Press half a hazelnut onto each cookie.
- 14. Allow the chocolate to set at room temperature.
